Latest news June 17, 2006 Evening Shift ! Picture; Saka has the whisky ready to celebrate a great and SAFE competition! DESERVED! 19.50 What a great competition, with tension in the end certainly in 15 m. class!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL PILOTS for flying safe, disciplined and with respect for each other. Sometimes they needed a SHAKE UP by chief steward Dick Bradley, but for sure they listened.
Congratulations to all crews , who made life for their pilots so easy that they could perfom!!
Saka shared his huge bottle of whisky with his staff drinking on a safe competition. The whole crew under the inspiring leadership of Robert and Saka deserves so, as all of them did a tremendous job.
Not only the staff here, but also the cleaning staff from the in the end ,many toilets and showers did a fantastic job. Everything was always clean.
The Task setters did a great job! So did the tuggies, I praised them already in my earlier article. Twice praised, no problem!
All those people who spend from 2 years to 3 weeks here as volunteers , using their holidays, sometimes even nearly "ruining" their personel friendships/relations, to get this last WGC to an absolute topper!
THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY!!!!!!Also you readers, who have used the WGC web site with millions to click and click to keep in touch with results, pictures and stories. We had 20% more readers then hoped for and both KG, the webmaster and I are very gratefull and happy with the results. We hope that more people then ever have enjoyed reading about our love in life; GLIDING! Also thank you for the huge amount of reactions we got. Argentinia was the most involved with the MEET and GREET.
I will be back tomorrow with at least 2 articles to keep you updated about the party and for the final analize! Or what ever we call it! Off to the party now. The food will be served as it is after 8 already. Thanks Ritz
