Ready for the last 3 days of the Comps!???
As it looks... yes!!! The gridding is busy at 05, it is sunny but cold, perhaps only cool for the Swedish people and with 05 we have a N.E wind , so it MUST be good. Pilots are relaxed, should be relaxed, I hope after their day off, so let's see what happens.
9.30 Tasks for today!!
15 m. pol. with 6 points ;394.7 km
18 m. AAT with 5 areas in 3.45 h. between 328.8 km/629.6 km.

---The winners from 2 days ago got their free tow ticket and on day 6 we had 2 winners so MP who did not get his ticket , got it today. And...Steve Jones came up not Phil as I thought earlier, to collect the daily winnersv prize. Sorry about that!

---The restaurant will CLOSE on Saturday afternoon at 13.00 to prepare for the BIG PARTY. It reopens at 19.00.
---The Robert Kronfeld Challenge Cup will be given to the pilot flying the longest distance during the comps. So EVERYBODY can still win this cup.
Weather
A cold front passed by yesterday and cold and dry air covers the competition area! The whole area is without clouds at the moment , we might however see the odd cloud on track. One person mentioned he saw already one during briefing.
Thermals will go up to 1500 m. and have started already. A sniffer will go up to see if we can start at 11.
So mostly dry thermals up to 2000 m max with 3 m. climbs max. Visibility is MORE then 50 k. and sunset at 22.14. Temperature will be 21, on the ground and just a weak wind.
11.00 Not yet action now. Cars still on the grid and tuggies "hanging around". No official delay or so, as far as I found out, we will wait.
Art Grant, just came in and lost his tiny FUJI camera tripod, so if you have found it please give it back to him or us. Thanks!
11.25 Tuggies are on their way to the grid, cars have left. 11.30 Action NOW! 18m. is on its way!
Startline opens at 12.21! 15 m. class launches in progres now!
Startline opens at 12.36. St. class launches in progres now!
Start line opens at 12.58.
In between the pilots have formed 3 gaggles. The wind just changed as predicted around 12 from the NE to the SW and sometimes pure W. So a bit of tail and cross wind so now and then, but as the wind is very weak it seems no problem at all.
12.30 Open class launches in progres now.
Startline opens at 13.08.
When open class started, the wind must have thought, it is better to change for the "big and heavy ones", so it did and they could start without any problem with a N. wind again. We can see clouds to the S. and cirrus filaments here and some alto cumulus. It looks like an other very interesting day.
Pilots are on track, crews fill water cans and I check vPosv for you and the weather. At this time great looking clouds pop up to the W. and S.
Forgot to tell you that one of the tuggies is female and from Denmark!
