Latest news June 13, 2006 Evening Shift! Picture; Jeroen "bakes" bitterballs in oil! 20.30 Just had one German beer already and 2 Dutch pan cakes and lots of liquoriche, peppermint, cheese, stroop wafels etc to go.
The TC meeting was about the restday tomorrow. We have had NO RESTDAY till now and we need one at least according to the rules. So the decision stands; tomorrow is a restday. We had one non flying, day but that was not a declared restday and on top of that everybody was busy till the afternoon. So ...a good decision in my opinion.
Party is in full swing, will go back now as ...tomorrow is a restday!
What was interesting today is that 2 pilots missed their turn point! Very unusual!!
If you want to see who are the nice, friendly and excellent people/ businesses sponsoring the comps, please just click on the little sign of the company on the bottom of the site and a link will lead you to the people who allow us to fly in the way we do. THANK YOU TO ALL OF THEM!!!!
Back soon. Going to make a picture in the hall.
22.30 I am not chauvinistic but the combined German-Dutch party was as expected a HUGE SUCCES!!! Beer "flooding", cheese , bitterballs, peperkoek, mints,in the end everybody walked around with a lollie in their mouth. We had 300 liters of beer and a car was running all evening to keep the casks cool. We had 650 bitterball's , very popular with mustard and boxes full of lollies. It is still in full swing and I can only say to all GERMAN and DUTCH friends THANK YOU!!!!
WHAT A GREAT NIGHT!!!
It looks like we will have 3 good days to finish the comps. So tomorrow we will enjoy a day of rest and fun. I am going with friends to Stockholm and will tell you all about that tomorrow night. After that we 'GO' for it again!!
For now, enjoy the results and the good flying pilots and see you tomorrow somewhere!? Ritz>
