Clouds to the W. still look good! Wind sometimes tough, bit still allright! Far away to the NW. we see clouds now too. 14.05 Launches for open class in progres NOW!

Poor Glider 210 and even more poor pilot Phil Jones, leader in 18 m. class .First he had to land back at the field, was relaunched after open class and during start its wheel collapsed!! Enough troups to help so I hope he can go quickly!!Will keep you informed! Cars are leaving him, glider is on its wheel again and off he goes back to the strip. Good luck now Phil, don't let it get you!!! He was just launched at 14.27 all OK! Go for it! Though...Caroline , the wife from Roland in XT, just told me that his mission today is to gain 23 -plus points. So GOOD LUCK TO BOTH leaders in 18m. class!!!
About 20 gliders hang in one huge gaggle to the N of the field and 12 of them, move behind each other now to the start point. Not over 1000 m. that's for sure, but when they reach the forest again they will go higher up. Can't see which class it is!
14.35 Will quickly go to the restaurant to see how St. class is coping today. Back soon!
NO WORRIES there as the pilots are at 1375 m. What I noticed however here on the ground is, that the clouds have disappeared or are UNDER some kind of convection line which seems to come closer to us from the W. Will keep you posted, while we wait for the pilots to come back. vPos is waiting again! CU later!
15.10 St. class is still hanging around the start point, according to the vPos system [with 15 minutes delay]and most are over 1000m. One even at 1535m. 2 Pilots have started but lost straight away a lot of height. But they are on track. Crews come in now with start notes!15.20.
15.40 ALL open class pilots have started between 14.51 and 15.10 and are on track. Still lots of pilots which have not started by now.
16.00 vPos news from St. class; Glider SEI is at this moment leader with 53 km flown and others are 75 km on track . All are around 1500 m. high. Not too bad! The sky here looks OK. Clouds have appeared to the SW now too. But...they come and go. The wind has not yet REALLY picked up, which is good. Temperature is 30.8 dgr. but the sun has reached the Austrian thermometer again, which is hanging to the right side of the door to the directors room.
The sun must be tough today, as I notice lots of very -red- male -back- legs.
16.30 23 Minutes difference in start times in st. class and 1 outlanding at this moment. Nearly 1 hour in 18 m. class and ONE hour AND 30 minutes difference in 15 m. class. Tactical games!!?? We can only see after their arrivals which decisions were the correct ones. This is what keeps gliding so interesting. The departure time is every day a very important part of the total gliding-game!
I hear over the speaker the announcement of the first gliders who will finish. Better go and look for you. CU in the next article Ritz>
