Picture; Francois Ragot, French gliding legend and his wife; OSTIV member. 22.00 Just analised all classes after todays flying and I lost it all, due to my own stupidity. So I give up now. Must be tired! It is easy however to look for your self what has happened in the different classes!
We had more outlandings , then finishers . In fact we had 77 outlandings , but most were close by or pilots came back under engine or with turbo.
Some pilots complained about the day, some thought it was a great day. Pretty normal and we are used to it.
Tonight we looked at the GRAND PRIX. First in ST. Auban and then in New Zealand. Sadly we only saw the 10 minute version of Omarama, but the long version is for sale. Dick Bradley gave a short talk, about the Qualifying Comps for the GP. in South Africa in December 2006.
It seems everybody is more or less worn out. A long and very intensive day , not only for the pilots, but also for the crews and all staff.
Just said goodbye to Mario Link [Schleicher]who leaves tomorrow morning after helping out in a great way, wherever necessary. Thanks Mario!
The OSTIV members who had an excursion on this hot day, went by bus to a museum and later to the SAAB {Viggen}Factory, no, no, not cars but planes. They had a good day! We too!
