Just came back from the briefing room. Israelian Team Captain Arnon Yaffe gave a nice presentation about Israel , before showing a video of a 3 day flying camp in the desert with some club members blessed with very good flying circumstances. More or less a documentary to "find" more glider pilots for the clubs , certainly young ones AND WOMEN!!! Very interesting to hear was that a billion BIRDS in all seizes "use" their airspace to travel from cold to warm and back. Rafi Luski, Israelian Champion, told us a bit more about the problems to fly in a rather small area and not to be able to cross the boundery.

After that Thomas, the by now famous "V pos guy ", who seems to conquer the world with the system ,[as we have had so many positive reactions on it,] told us about the Silent Wings Simulator and the Silent Wings Viewer. Nowadays ,you might have found out already you can instead of chatting on line, FLY on line. And with the v pos tracking system you just fly with a pilot you like during this competion, "sit in his cockpit" and look over his shoulder what he is doing. You can find all very interesting and detailed information about how to fly, the different countries to fly over, weathercircumstances etc.
Now, during the comps, you can down load for free but after, when the system goes commercial, you have to pay 49,- Euro. Still not much for a lot of fun!
By the way; WE WON! 1-0 only but still...! You know what I am talking about! Soccer..ssshh. The restaurant was for over an hour ORANGE.
