13.45 All gliders are up in the air. The sky looks very blue with some high cirrus filaments. Gliders go up to 1000m plus SW of the field. A blue day, so most probably lots of pilots flying together today. Will keep you informed!
14.30 While waiting, you might be interested in looking at a new toy!! You can find a picture [made by Pierre Wolf,] of this in Italy invented instrument, on page 6 image 7250 on [date] 04-06-06. It has a big screen in the middle with Flarm and Cambridge to the right. The instrument is a computer called "Easy" and it does exactly what all other computers do , it only has an IPAC in it too and with the big screen you can see 2 programs running. Very interesting!! The picture shows the instrument in the ETA at the back seat. Enjoy!
Lots of people are very multi functional here. So is the metereologist Bernt, also a tuggie, the scorer is a tuggie and even the deputy director Saka is a tuggie!
14.45 Quite a lot of pilots have started now. Look for their times at the result page. Interesting to see is, that in 15 m. class female pilot Alena in glider AZ was the last to leave. All pilots in 15 m. are on their way.
In all other classes several pilots are still waiting.
15.00 Great news for the pilots!!! Clouds have popped up and are popping up in the NW and W. In open class Michael Sommer is in the lead and it is nice to see on vpos that Pierre de Broqueville flies all by himself E. of the track while the rest goes W. England made after 5 minutes 1-0 .YES I do love soccer too. But not too many people here, as in one corner vpos is shown , with lots of "fans" and only 1 young man looked at soccer.
15.15 All gliders are on their way, but the first crew for an outlanding is already here too. K7 with Argentinian pilot Mauricio Delfabro flying in St.class. His crew is still in very good mood and leaves with a smile now.
15.45 Still great looking clouds to the W and certainly to the NW. IE crew left for a retrieve too. SAD news for the Argentinians as their young "topper" Damian Goldenzweig has landed out after 42 km.
16.15 The skies really look great now. Clouds popping up everywhere. Open class gliders are up to a height of 1700 m. I just saw. Still more spectators for vpos then soccer , but the difference is not so big anymore. Not so long and we expect the first finishes! Look in the next article for Finishes ! Ritz>
